Patient engagement

Patient portal

A patient-facing application surface for tasks such as appointments, forms, messages, bills, and enabled telehealth entry.

Definition

A patient portal narrows navigation to patient-appropriate actions and must not expose the staff operational workspace. Patient context should be resolved before portal content renders.

Portals reduce phone tag when forms, schedules, and payments stay connected to the same clinic records staff use.
